Description
Ingredients
- 2 cups raw unsalted almonds – The star of the show, ensuring you achieve that rich, nutty flavor.
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon sea salt – To enhance the taste; adjust to your preference.
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional) – For a touch of sweetness; ideal if you’re using plain almonds.
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or any neutral-flavored oil (optional) – For an ultra-creamy texture; can be skipped for a thicker consistency.
Instructions
Begin by measuring out 2 cups of raw unsalted almonds and placing them in your high-speed blender or food processor. If you’re adding any sweeteners or oils, make those measurements as well.
Start your blender on a low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for about 5-10 minutes until the almonds transform into a thick paste. This process may require stopping to scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
Once you achieve a creamy consistency, add in 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt. If you opted for maple syrup or coconut oil, now’s the time to mix those in too. Blend for another 2-3 minutes until well combined.
If your almond butter is too thick for your liking, consider adding a bit more coconut oil. Blend until you reach your desired creaminess.
Taste your almond butter; adjust the sweetness or saltiness if needed. Then, transfer it to a sealed jar for storage. Enjoy this delicious spread at your convenience!
